Most organizations don't have an AI problem — they have an operationalization problem. A pilot that works in a demo rarely survives contact with real daily work.
The teams that turn AI into habit do three things: they pick one repeatable workflow, they assign a clear owner, and they measure the time actually saved. That last part matters more than people think. Without a baseline, "it feels faster" is not a business case.
Once one workflow is dependable, the second and third get easier. The technology is rarely the bottleneck — the discipline of running it like a real process is.
Where to start: choose something boring. Summaries, triage, first-draft replies, log review. The exciting use cases are usually the hardest to operationalize.
