How we listen
Future Pulse is our quarterly scan of the technology horizon. We track more than 120 signals across three axes — intelligence, sustainability, and adoption — and look for where they intersect. The intersections are where the future actually lives.
The Q3 signal
This quarter's dominant signal is convergence. The three axes we track are no longer moving in parallel. They are bending toward each other:
- Intelligence is getting greener — the most efficient new models are also the most energy-aware.
- Sustainability is getting smarter — climate solutions are increasingly powered by adaptive systems.
- Adoption is getting faster — the gap between research and real-world use is closing.
What to watch
- The rise of carbon-aware scheduling as a default, not a feature.
- Small, specialized models outperforming large general ones on efficiency.
- Bio-digital interfaces moving from research into early commercial use.
How to read this
A signal is not a prediction. It is a direction of travel. The value of tracking them is not certainty — it is orientation. When you know which way the field is leaning, you can make better decisions about where to stand.
Knowing further is not about seeing the future perfectly. It is about facing it with your eyes open.
Future Pulse is published quarterly. The next issue tracks Q4 signals and the year-end convergence review.
